High Adventure

Troop 18 Completes a Fifty Mile High Adventure Trek out of

Floodwood Mountain Scout Reservation in the Adirondacks.

Nine scouts and two adult leaders of Troop 18 completed a fifty mile high adventure trek via canoe and a foot.  We traveled through ponds, lakes, creeks, rivers and over mountains to complete our trek in five days.    We learned and practiced Leave No Trace camping as we carried all we needed in our canoes and on our backs. Everyone did their part as we paddled, hiked, camped, played and worked together during our wilderness experience.  In short we had an experience of a lifetime that only a small percent of scouts will ever have the chance to experience!
